Who is the Holy Spirit?

Many of us might have once or twice heard about the Holy Spirit, some of us might know a few things about the Holy Spirit; another percentage of us might have the Holy Spirit in us, and another percentage both has the Holy Spirit and communicates effectively with Him.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

Acts 2:38 NIV
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, the very nature of God. The Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts when we surrender our lives to Christ; that is, when we've accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior and of course repent of all our sins. He guides us, directs us and He helps us in our weaknesses.

Some believers due to lack of knowledge battle with thoughts regarding the proof of the Holy Spirit in their lives because they might not believe or know how to hear and communicate with Him.

My best friend will always tell his story of how he kept on coming for altar calls. His mindset then was that a single mistake made by one who just accepted Christ will automatically make the Holy spirit leave. He also thought that it was a thing of feelings. He will always come out for another altar call if he didn't feel anything in the previous one.
It's obvious that he lacked knowledge then. He kept on coming out until he understood the fact that the Holy Spirit is always with us and never leaves us no matter what we've done.

The Holy Spirit gives you the ability to carry out God's plan for your life here on earth. He helps us to know the very heartbeat of God concerning our lives. Receiving the Spirit of God has no disadvantages, He will only make your life better and perfect.
