Assurance Of Salvation

Most times, some Christians are not sure if they have been saved. We'll be looking at reasons for this uncertainty.

Three Reasons Why Some Christians are Unsure Of Their Salvation

1. SIN CONSCIOUSNESS

This is being so aware of your past sins that you begin to lack confidence to approach God, your father. This hinders growth in a believer's life. You should be confident enough to approach God whenever you make mistakes. Ephesians 3:12 He is now your Father and He'll never leave you nor forsake you.
It is important to know that God is more interested in who you are than in what you do. (Who you are defines what you do)
God calls you righteous irrespective of what you've done. 2 Corinthians 5:21

2. FEELINGS

Most time, Christians doubt the fact that they have been saved (being born again) because they never felt anything when they invited Jesus Christ into their lives. Not feeling anything during the new birth does not imply that you weren't ssaved. The truth is that feelings have nothing to do with it. This is because being born again is a spiritual reality. Only your spirit was born anew and as such, it can only be touched by faith in the word of God not feelings nor emotions.
As believers, our spirit has only one sense called "FAITH" 2 Corinthians 5:7

3. SATAN'S ACCUSATIONS

Satan is an expert in accusing believers of their wrongs. These accusations from Satan can seriously and adversely affect a believer's confidence in salvation.

However you can handle this if you understand that;
1. The blood of Christ has COMPLETELY paid for your sins. Hebrews 9:12
2. What God said about your salvation is what matters. Romans 8:1
3. When sin is confessed it is forgiven by God. Hebrews 8:121 John 1:9
